Review: Barry M 'Pinkie Gold' Lipstick.

Hello everyone,

Today I’m going to be doing a review on this Barry M lip paint in ‘Pinkie Gold’.

As you can see in the picture I’ve taken above, this lipstick is a light-medium pink, with golden shimmer through it. I have medium NC30 skin and this compliments me rather well. This lipstick is something I can wear by itself during the daytime, but it’s also easy to glam it up with lip gloss for the night wear.

I love the fact that it’s moisturising and pigmented at the same time. The lipstick goes on so smoothly and evenly, so it’s a dream to work with. I think that the golden sheen on the lipstick gives a 3-dimensional look to the lips, which is a look I desire.

Ever since I got this lipstick a few months ago, I’ve been using it at least 3 times a week - from this week though, I’ve started putting it in my makeup bag for touch-ups throughout the day as it doesn’t last more than 4 hours. It’s a lovely soft mauve-y pink that I imagine would be flattering on a lot of people. It can be played up with a pink or purple gloss or played down with a creamy nude gloss. It’s lovely either way.

The packaging is a very sleek, black tube and instead of it being the typical round casing, it’s almost ‘square-ish’, if that makes sense. There is no scent to the lipstick, which is a plus for me.

Here is a quick overview of the pro’s and con’s.

Pro’s:

  • Versatile colour.
  • Moisturising and pigmented.
  • Convenient packaging.
  • Non-fragranced.
  • Lasts very good.

Cons:

  • The gold to the shade, may make some looked a little washed out.
  • Barry M is very hard to find outside of the UK.

Overall, I recommend this lipstick and can’t wait to try other Barry M products.

I rate this 4.5 stars!

  3. @alee*: It's such a shame that Barry M is limited outside of the UK.

I'm so jealous about UK makeup brands, they're so good.
